The court family society

The Court Family Society was founded at a reunion in 1996 to bring together and help anyone interested in, or originating from, any branch of the COURT family line.  Membership is worldwide.

Historically, COURT strongholds have been West Somerset and Devon, Gloucestershire, Kent, and Warwickshire, but with individual outposts in other parts, and many overseas.

A great deal of information and data has already been collected, which at the present time tends to be shared through members in a variety of ways, - mostly via informal member contact. Other data is held by our Archivist.

The Society has recently been involved in utilising and expanding the facilities of the web-site, which will become a main focus for the future, by offering ease of access for all those interested in the ‘COURT’ name, and by encouraging interactive participation in the seeking and sharing of information. We will pass on relevant enquiries received through the website and possible links uncovered during research. We will undertake Internet based research but cannot do on site research.

All members receive a Members Interests Directory, which lists areas of interest and contact details of members thus enabling them to forge direct links with each other either on interest or location,
The Society newsletter, the Court Courier, is produced quarterly, and is available via the Internet. Back numbers are also available on CD-Rom.
